Call for Papers / Abstract Guidelines
The organizers invite prospective authors to submit abstracts of papers for presentation at the conference. Abstracts should be submitted in English and authors are invited to indicate their preference regarding an oral or poster presentation.
The call for papers is opened on the 15th of September 2019. Due to the postponement of the conference to 2021 the abstract process has been adjusted and will re-open on 9th April 2020. The new deadline for abstracts submission is the 4th of October 2020. Authors will be notified of the Program Committee's decision by E-Mail by the 15th of November 2020. Written papers must be submitted by the 21st of February 2021.
Submission of Abstracts
You can submit abstracts without firmly registering to the conference. With the submission of an abstract you only will be pre-registered to the conference, which is not binding. Nevertheless, in order to give an accepted presentation on the symposium it is required that the presenting author registers firmly to the conference. Therefore with the acceptance notification, we will provide you with a link under which you will have the possibility to finalize your registration, which will then be binding.
Abstracts (as well as the full papers) must be submitted electronically. Please submit the electronic version of your abstract as a pdf-file by online procedure on the Conference Website via pull-down menu “Abstract & Registration”, by 4th of October 2020. Abstracts sent by fax or email will not be accepted.
All abstracts must be submitted via the Conference Website SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT here. An abstract that has already been submitted can be edited using the same link.
Please follow all instructions carefully before submitting an abstract. All abstracts must be submitted in English, the official language of the conference. Once the abstract is accepted, instructions on electronic submission of the full paper will follow.
We have provided the following Word and Tex templates that have been pre-formatted for your convenience. Insert your abstract in the template provided, save as pdf-file and then upload the file. Your abstract must stay within the boundaries of the template.
The abstract shall be between 300 – 500 words and shall include:
- Paper title
- Name of the author(s) with affiliation and complete address
- Preference for oral or poster presentation
The selection of papers will be made based on the following criteria:
- General interest of the subject
- Relevance to the subjects covered by the conference
- Originality of the material presented
- Clarity of the abstract
Depending on the type of paper and its content, the Technical and Programme Committee may allocate it to a poster session rather than an oral presentation.
